Today was our Preston trip 2026!

We started the day with a 45 minute walk to the train station where we were met by a lovely conductor who showed us how to depart a train and let us help him with the train before ours. After a quick train to Preston we then walked to the County Hall where we met our guide for the day, Mr Meynell. He showed us the modern and old parts of the building then took us into the very grand room where the county council meet for important conversations. We did a quiz of the room and learnt about democracy and what the council and politicians do. After a quick lunch we headed over to the Lancashire archives and found some brilliant archives all about Scotforth! We then headed back to Lancaster on the train and had a walk back to school. We were very lucky and managed to miss most of the rain whilst we were inside!
