Year 2 Church visit
Year 2 visited St Paul’s Church. Rev Rebecca showed us around and told us about the different things within the church.
More P.E. fun in the sun today
Another great activity to practise our overarm throwing and running skills.
P.E.
Here we are practising our throwing and running skills. The challenge was to investigate which was fastest, running across the playground and back or getting all three bean bags into a hoop.
Equal Groups
We used lots of different maths equipment to investigate numbers today. Recognising which are equal groups is vital before we can learn about fractions.
The King’s Coronation
We learnt about the weird and wonderful foods served at Coronations in years gone by and designed our own menu.
Coronation Celebrations
Today we learnt all about the upcoming Coronation events. Here we are designing our own mosaics inspired by the floor of Westminster Abbey.
Our Finished Product
At last our vehicles are finished. They took a lot of hard work, resilience and perseverance.
Learning about axles
Before designing our own vehicles, we had to learn how an axle works. We learnt about two different types - axles with fixed wheels and those with moving wheels. We made both before choosing which to use in our designs.
