Yesterday Y3 took advantage of the good weather and took our maths lesson outside. We estimated and measured the capacity and volume of various containers. By accurately measuring the capacity of the cup we used to fill the other containers; we were able to work out the actual capacity of larger containers. We practised reading the scale  accurately to see if we were correct. We had the added challenge of seeing who could complete the activities without getting water on their clothing or recording sheets!
