We are learning about the role of archaeologists in our new history topic about prehistoric Britain. We found out that archaeologists often dig for clues about past civilisations. We decided to look for clues about the past by looking through the bins bags from the different classes in school. We found loads of different objects like drawings, old Christmas cards, broken pens, worksheets and even a can of coke! These objects helped us work out which class each rubbish bag belonged to. It also showed us what each class had been doing this week. It was really helpful when we found names in the rubbish but even when we didn’t we could work out lots about the past from all the other clues!
