Pedal and Scoot.
We have had a great day. We have been learning how to ride a bike and learning lots of new skills.
We’re going on a bear hunt.
The past few weeks we have been learning all about going on a bear hunt. We have been on our own bear hunt and a sensory walk with each part. We have made creative work for each part of the story. We have also done some amazing writing and we included some super wow words.
Number bonds to 5 and 10.
Today we were practicing our number bonds to 5 and 10. We had lots of fun whilst doing this.
Our caterpillars have arrived.
We are very excited to have our very own pet caterpillars. We can’t wait to watch them grow and see each stage.
Magic beans arrived into our classroom.
We had a special delivery, some magic beans. We think that they might grow into beanstalks just like story Jack and the Beanstalk.
We had a visit from some lambs.
On Monday we had a lovely afternoon with our Year 5 buddies. Lambs came to visit us at school, we got to feed them some milk and learn all about them.
Spirituality morning.
We had a lovely morning with Nursery. We did some mindful yoga, positive affirmations, Easter cross making and some mindful painting.
Experimenting.
We have been scientist. We have found lots of natural materials and been making potions and seeing what happens to them when we mix them all up.
Mental Health Champions
On Friday we went to the University of Cumbria. We learnt all about having healthy bodies and happy minds. We did some mindful drawing, team building tasks and played some fun playground games. We also went for a walk and spoke about how we can check in on people and how chatting to someone can…
Dinosaur eggs have appeared in our classroom.
We could not believe it. We arrived to school and there was huge footprints and a dinosaur egg in our classroom.
Nurse visit.
We had a lovely visit from a nurse. She told us what nurses do and she even showed us how to put bandages, slings and plasters on. We are now all ready to be nurses in our hospital role play.
Police visit.
We had a lovely visit from a police lady. She told us about her roll and she let us have a look at some of the equipment the police use. We then got to dress up and try it all out. She also read us a story about all the different types of police and what they do to help us.
