This week we have been exploring what Autumn is. We went on an adventure to see what signs of autumn we could see around school. We found conkers, lots of different coloured leaves, mushrooms and some pine cones. 

This week we are looking at Harvest. We have been looking at where our food comes from and why we are thankful to God.p for his amazing creation.  We even tasted the, and have been looking at our chopping skills. 

This week we have been learning all about germs, how to wash our hands, how to brush our teeth and why all of these things are very important. 

This week in Reception we have painted our self portraits. We focused on our face details, our eye colour, hair colour and skin tone. 

We had so much fun today, we learnt some Bollywood dancing, we got to use some scarves and we also learnt some skills with the hoops. 

We had lots of fun exploring and seeing what we could find. We found lots of different coloured leaves, conkers, sticks and some large spiders making webs. 

Harold taught us all about our bodies and how to keep them happy and healthy. 

We had so much fun yesterday visiting Martin Mere. We followed a map, we saw lots of birds and we had lots of fun in the splay/play park. 

Today in Reception we practiced some dance from around the world. We did some hip hop, Irish, Bollywood, Bhangra, Latin and Chinese. 

Today we learnt all about China and Hong Kong. We learnt to write numbers in Chinese, we practiced using chopsticks and tried some food. 

Today Reception and Nursery took a visit to our local fish and chip shop. We learnt about things we are famous for,  traditional British foods, we made our own afternoon tea and practiced lots of skills when making our own sandwiches. We also learnt all about our King and when he came to visit…

Reception had an enjoyable day learning about cultural diversity within our class. We looked at where places were on the map and the children spoke about their countries.
