Y1 Story Sack
Thank you to one of our lovely Governor, Mrs Quainoo, who organised for our Enormous Turnip Story Sack to be made and presented to us alongside some other members of the Soroptomists group. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Identifying trees/plants in the school garden
We followed the map to identify the different plants we have growing in our beautiful school garden.
We found a Mint plant, Rosemary, Hyacinth and a blossom tree to name just a few.
KS1 Intra-sports
Team work and orienteering to find the hidden eggs. Well done for all teams showing good sportsmanship.
Matisse Collage
We have enjoyed looking and learning about the french artist Henri Matisse. We have copied his style and explored making our own collages and a group collage.
All Stars Cricket KS1
Coach Steve came in to tell us all about Allstars Cricket. We practised some cricket skills e.g throwing , catching, holding a bat, hitting and controlling the ball.
We really enjoyed it.

Year 1 Reading Cafe
Thank you to the parents who came to our, ‘Reading Cafe’. The children loved listening to a range of stories and we even enjoyed some juice and a biscuit!
Y1 Blackpool Zoo Trip
We had an amazing day at Blackpool Zoo today! We enjoyed finding out about what each animal ate and found out if they are carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. We watched the tiger eating his dinner and worked out he was a carnivore. The fact-files around the zoo, also helped us.

North, South, East, West!
We used compasses to direct our partners around the playground. We directed them using the language north, south, east and west. We enjoyed making up silly rhymes to remember the compass points. Naughty, Silly, Earth, Worm was one of our favourites and Naughty, Elephants, Squirt, Water.
