Class of 2020

Just a few of the fabulous self portraits that we’ve been creating recently.  As you can see we have been using lots of different media to colour them in.

This week we did an art project inspired by Bonfire Night.  We worked in teams to create a bonfire collage.

After mixing our own colours we created our own firework pictures.

We learnt all about the primary colours today.  We mixed them together to make orange, green and purple before using all six colours to paint a firework filled sky.

We made plasticine reliefs of our faces in art this week.  Do you think they look like us?

Today, Year 2 went on a visit around our local area, to consolidate our term’s learning where we have focused upon the area in which we go to school!

We also practised our throwing and catching skills whilst counting in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 3’s.

We used pine cones to practise our adding and subtracting today.

Today we used the Base 10 to investigate partitioning numbers in different ways.

Today a special visitor came to see us.  It was Harold, our favourite giraffe.  He helped us to learn all about making friends and keeping them.
