Today we went on our first class trip since the COVID outbreak.   Hurrah!!  We travelled to Beacon Fell and learnt all about how to survive in the wild.  We have been reading Kensuke's Kingdom in school and had already picked up some great survival tips from that.  We found out more about how best to choose a location in which to set up a shelter.  We had to consider protection from the elements, food sources, nearby water, and flat ground.  Our leaders taught us how to create waterproof shelters, and then tested our work with powerful water pistols!  It was really exciting to be out together and we learnt loads about survival and team work!
