Four of our Year 5s attended Pupil Parliament with lots of other children from the local area. They found out about protected characteristics and focused on disability. The theme of the day was “walk in someone else’s shoe” and the children took part in different activities which made them think about what it is like for others who have disabilities (seen and hidden). Everything they did focused on abilities rather than disabilities - what you can do rather than what you can’t.
