Today we welcomed Rachael from St. John’s Hospice into school to present her with a cheque for £783. We raised this money from our “Readathon” which actually took place before lockdown. At last we have been able to invite her into school to find out what the money will be spent on. She explained that it will be added to the “Forget-me-not” fund, to build a special centre to support families who have been bereaved.
We have been supporting the hospice for a number of years now and look forward to helping them out again soon.
Rachel also told us about an art project based on the theme “Happy Memories” which we can join in with, to create artwork for the new Forget-me-not Centre. Look out for more details in the newsletter.
