In Bounce Forward today, Year 6 learned all about how to work well as part of a team in order to solve problems. We considered what was important for when working alongside other people and realised that collaboration, compromise and a positive growth mindset were all vital in order for the team to succeed!

We enjoyed watching a clip during our session to help us understand Growth Mindset (https://youtu.be/DI4zp7yeuMU)  and another to analyse how well a team (pesky penguins) worked together and what they did that led to their success-  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRQkxeBDEF0&t=7s

Our teams were tasked with working together to build a tower of ten cups. Sounds simple, right? Well, it certainly wasn't simple when the children were no longer allowed to use their hands (or any other body parts) to touch the cups! With two sheets of foil, a pair of straws, two rubber bands, a couple of cotton buds and a blob of blu-tac, what would you have done? Check out our photos to see us in action, solving problems and 'Bouncing Forward' like the resilient bunch that we are!
