Year 6 classroom was turned into a bakery this afternoon, as we all worked on our pastry making skills. We measured out our ingredients then learnt how to rub the fat into the flour to create short crust pastry. Ideally, pastry should be made in cool conditions but it was certainly not cool in our clssroom today. We persevered though and managed to roll and cut out pastry cases, before practising our chopping skills by filling the cases with apple.
