In Geography, we have been learning about the COP26 conference. We watched Newsround and read articles about the conference. We found out about what governments are trying to do to reduce climate change. In our "Living in the United Kingdom" topic we have also been learning about the many different energy sources in the UK. We found out about fossil fuels and how they are running out around the world. We also found out that they produce a lot of carbon dioxide which is making the plant warm up.
Although it can be worrying to think about climate change, we talked about the many things that we can do to help with the environment. We talked about how if we all made little changes, it can have a huge impact on our planet. We made these lovely posters to show what we can do as individuals and as a school. Look out for these posters in classrooms, in corridors and even in the playground. Together we can make a big difference!
