This evening, Scotforth put on its first ever outdoor production. Year 6 braved the drizzle to perform Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The story began on the school field, before moving up into the woods to explore the goings-on of a group of runaway Athenians, a bunch of very disorganised amateur actors and a band of mischevious fairies. The audience returned to the field for the finale: a triple wedding and a comical play.
Well done to the children for all their amazing acting, singing, dancing (and ability to organise themselves), which resulted in such a magical performance.
