Once again, Year 6 have had great sporting success, this time at the annual Salt Ayre Sports' Festival. 29 schools were represented and we took part in four activities: korfball, dodgeball and girls' football tournaments as well as a non-competitive cheer-leading session. We are super proud to announce that we won both the dodgeball and girls' football tournaments and were runners-up in the korfball tournament. 

The girl's football competition was particularly impressive: the girls played 4 matches in the group stage (winning 3 and drawing 1 match), followed by a quarter and a semi-final before reaching the final against Moorside School. Due to superb team spirit, resilience and the fantastic work of our talented goalkeeper, they didn't concede a single goal throughout the tournament, and the final was eventually won after a tense penalty shoot-out.
