Y3/4 Netball Tournament
What a great afternoon we have had at the Y3/4 netball tournament. All the children played amazingly well and they showed true determination and perseverance, especially in the hot weather! They represented Scotforth superbly, we are really proud of them all.

SPAG orienteering
Year 6 took advantage of the sunshine this morning, to revise their SPAG knowledge in preparation for next week’s SATs. As well as practising our grammar and punctuation, we also got to work on our map-reading skills and had some exercise at the same time!

Tag Rugby Tournament
A team of 8 Year 5s and 6s went to the interschools tag rugby tournament this afternoon. After a tense couple of play-off matches, we ended up second in our pool. All our games were very close scores. Unfortunately we lost our semi- final match, but came 3rd overall. The whole team worked really…

Largest Girls’ Football Day
We enjoyed taking part in the Largest Girls’ Football Day. We continue to have opportunity every Wednesday where Morecambe Football Club come and work with the girls to play football.

Y3/4 Intra sports
Today, we have taken part in our Y3/4 Intra sports. We played bench ball and had to work as a team to score points. We used tactics and spatial awareness to outwit our opponents.

Gymnastics in Y4
We have been learning counter balances in our PE lesson today. Coach Millie has been teaching us how to use a partner to create balances.

Invasion games in Y4
We have been practising dribbling a ball in PE today. We worked in teams to bounce on the spot and move with the ball. We will use these skills when we play some invasion games.

Badminton skills continued
Today we have used our new badminton nets in PE. We have practised serving the shuttlecock and worked on keeping a rally going with our partner for as long as possible.

Introducing badminton to Year 6
This morning, Year 6 had their first taste of badminton. We learnt how to hold the racket, the ready position and then attempted to hit the shuttlecock and return it to our partners! We worked really well together in pairs.

Girls Football tournament
Some girls from Year 6 and Year 5 enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine at Lancaster and Morecambe College, taking part in the Girls Football tournament. Our team did really well, winning their pool then progressing to the semi-finals. We ended up in 4th place overall, out of 15 teams. An amazing…
