Our last day at Lockerbie
Our adventure at Lockerbie finished on a “high” today, with all groups tackling the climbing wall and the abseil tower. We were able to use the skills we learnt and our experiences from crate stacking and high ropes to help us in these final challenges. Following a final meal, we set off home and…

Invasion game skills
Today, we have been practising skills to play an invasion game. We have been throwing and catching balls using a chest pass and a bounce pass. We had to think of the position of our hands and feet to be able to throw and catch effectively.

Wednesday at Lockerbie
We’ve had another sunny day (at least until tea time anyway). Every group had a go at the high ropes course, with everyone showing great determination and resilience. Orienteering, blind trail and survival skills were enjoyed by various groups during the rest of the day. We also tried out a new…

Tuesday at Lockerbie
The sun shone for us all day today. We started the day by sampling our first Lockerbie breakfast of the week, before spending the whole morning on the lake, learning to canoe and kayak. Some of us were in the water again in the afternoon, working together as a team to build a raft to carry the…
Year 6 Arrive in Lockerbie
Year 6 arrived safely at Lockerbie Manor this afternoon and got straight into some great activities: archery, low ropes, crate stacking and even raft-building. Everyone had a great time - especially those who got soaking wet even before tea time!

Y1 Yogi
We had a lovely, relaxing and peaceful Yogi experience today. Just what we all needed coming to the end of term. Thank you

Y4 Cheerleading Taster Session
Today, we had a cheerleading taster session. We learnt some of the moves and even attempted some balances.

Cheerleading in Y1
Thank you to Bay Stormers who came in and gave us a taster session on cheerleading.

Dodgeball team go to Blackpool
Having won the district dodgeball competition at the Salt Ayre Sports Festival in May, a team of 8 boys travelled to Blackpool as part of "Team Lancaster" to represent the area at the Lancashire School Games in Stanley Park. The dodgeball tournament was designed to be a participation event, so we…

Reception and KS1 Sports Day
We all took part in our annual sports morning. The children were fantastic and competed brilliantly. We also saw some pre-schoolers racing and my all time favourite… the Mums/Dads and Grandparents race!
Well done to Castle Reds who won

Year 6 run 100 miles!
Year 6 showed great athletic skill and resilience this morning as they embarked on their 1 hour sponsored run to raise money towards our upcoming day trip to the Lake District. The weather was just perfect for us (not too hot with a gentle breeze). Some children chose to run every lap, whilst some…
