This afternoon in geography, Year 6 have been learning about time zones and how they relate to the lines of longitude (including the prime meridian which runs through Greenwich in London). We found out what time it is now in other parts of the world and enjoyed looking at live webcams to see what was happening in real time around the world. As a special surprise, we had a zoom call with Julieta, who has gone to live in Chile. We discovered that it was only 11am in Santiago so she hadn’t had her lunch yet! It was lovely to catch up with her and ask her some questions about the geography of Chile too.
