Class of 2017

In class, Year 2 are learning all about 2D and 3D shapes.  To help us to learn how many vertices and edges on a 3D shape, we made some shapes using cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows.  Do you know how many edges there are on a cube?

To start our new maths topic about 2D and 3D shapes, we sorted lots of different shapes into groups.  Can you tell what our sorting criteria were?

Year Two are learning all about puppets.  First we explored different types of puppets using books, pictures and the real thing before having a go at making our own finger puppets.

This week we took our first look at the operation of division.  Here we are exploring division as 'sharing'.

Coach Steve has been coming in to teach us some cricket skills in P.E. this term.  We have learnt to hold the bat properly and to strike a ball off a tee or cone.  We have also brushed up on our rolling and underarm throwing skills.
