We have been practising our cutting and sticking skills in the making area this week. 

We used coloured clay to make reliefs of our faces.  Can you spot yourself?

Today we researched wolves in a range of different texts.  We also had hot chocolate and biscuits.  It was just like being at a reading cafe.
 

We have had fun with Number dominos in the Maths area this week. 

We used the greater than and less than number frames to explore numbers using autumn objects and magnetic numbers. We made sure we “chomped” the greater numbers!

On Thursday, Year 6 joined in a massive literacy lesson with over 3000 other children! Pie Corbett was the host and taught the lesson. He is a very famous poet and author who has written over 250 books.

We played lots of fun word games and wrote a lot of descriptive sentences and some of us…

We had great fun with a new continuous provision activity- Number value and match teddies.

Year 6 have made a great start to their year, and have really been enjoying playing some socially distanced games during playtimes: Simon Says and Splat have proved popular. We even managed to play Shadow Tig this lunchtime as the sun came out to shine.
