We were invited to watch Y3s wonderful dance and to read their amazing stories. Thank you Year 3! 

After learning about and investigating the power of air (pneumatics!), this week we finally planned and made our moving toys. We investigated different ways to use balloons, pipes and syringes to create movement and then came the challenging, fun and messy(!) part…we got to transform cardboard…

We had an amazing day with Kathy learning to ride a bike. Thank you for the amazing parental support ! 

We had so much fun today with Pedal and Scoot. We learnt how to check if our bikes are safe and learnt lots of new skills. 

This morning, Lancaster Fire and Rescue Service came to visit us. We learned about what they do and ways to be safe at home.

This afternoon, we took part in a special PE session of crown green bowling with Coach Dan. It was great fun. Lotty won the Bowl of the Day.

Year 6 had an inventive afternoon today. They were tasked with coming up with new ideas for using technology in the classroom. Our ideas included electronic, interactive display boards and electronic mini whiteboards that can store your workings and mean you don’t need to worry about your…

We have been learning about angles outdoors today. We looked at angles around us and then made angles with our bodies. Using sticks, we made pictures and named the angles correctly using the words acute, obtuse and right angles.

In DT we are investigating pneumatics as soon we will be making our own pneumatic moving models. Today we made paper rockets and used air power (from our lungs through a straw!) to propel the rockets forwards. We learnt that even a small amount of air can be very powerful…

Today, Year 6 enjoyed an afternoon off their SATs to practise their cricket skills with Coach Regan.

We have begun researching facts to use in our non-fiction book. We went to the school library to find non-fiction books and found the information section. We have looked at the features and found exciting information. 
We also used the iPads to research about plants. 

This afternoon, we were using the programme Scratch to code an animation about Goldilocks.
