We have been investigating how to make different circuits today. They included either a bulb, a buzzer or a motor. We then drew each circuit showing all the components used.

Year 4 are enjoying a series of workshops led by Ludus Dance and More Music in Morecambe. We have learnt all about germs and how they affect our bodies.

We have been reading the story of Little Red Hen in our English. We discussed where the ingredients come from and we had a go at making our own bread. We looked at the skills of sifting, mixing and kneading. 

We are learning about the Roman invasion when Claudius was emperor (43 AD). Today we pretended to be Celts spying on the Roman army who had invaded our country. We have to work quickly and accurately in teams to find out as much as we could about the invading army.  We drew pictures to help…

We made playdough in Maths today. We used cups and tablespoons to measure our ingredients. We sieved, mixed and rolled our ingredients together.

Here we are enjoying the snow and ice.  It was so cold but we had a great time collecting as much snow and ice as we could!

Today, whilst learning about the weather patterns across the four seasons, the most amazing thing happened... it started to SNOW! Of course, we made the most of this wintery treat by heading outside and investigating the weather and temperature!

This week we have been working hard to learn our fabulous story ‘The Way Home For Wolf’ off by heart.  Here we are retelling the story in our own words.

Today, we were looking for facts to help us find out why the river Nile was important to the Ancient Egyptians.

Year 2 been learning about the UK and used their geography skills to locate the UK on a range of maps and globes. We put labels onto the maps to show the four countries of the United Kingdom and the surrounding seas.

We have been learning all about 2D shapes in maths.  Today we had to use rulers to draw them very carefully.  Here we are practising drawing straight lines on our whiteboards.  It was a lot trickier than it looked but we managed it!
