Mrs Atkinson came to hand out our prizes for winning the Duck Race. 

Our duck came first!!! We were very excited to watch the medal ceremony. 

We all had been given a duck to take part in the Children In Need Virtual Duck Race. We logged on and we all cheered on our duck “Quackman and Bobbin”. It was very fun and tense at times, especially when it got stuck in the rapids! 

We looked at a set of instructions and followed them to make a Strawberry and Banana smoothie for Mrs Aylott. Firstly, we got all the ingredients and equipment together.

We carefully read the instructions step by step; noticing the bossy verb at the start of each instruction. 

We used ten frames to make some number fact equations.

We explored using Numicon to make some number fact equations.

We made number equations using magnetic numbers.

We used number dice to make some number fact equations.

We used Number fans to make some number fact equations.

As part of our “Ourselves” topic, we looked at our 5 senses. We had a smelling experiment where we predicted what we thought was in each cup and discussed whether the smell was sweet/sour/liked/disliked. Then we revealed what each cup contained. We had some surprising ones! 

We designed a fruit salad as part of our ‘Ourselves- Healthy Eating’ topic. We chose fruits we liked and even tried some fruits that we had never tasted before. We ate our fruit salads and evaluated what we liked or disliked about it.
