We tested our knowledge with a fun Coronation quiz.

Today we learnt all about the upcoming Coronation events.  Here we are designing our own mosaics inspired by the floor of Westminster Abbey.

We were very proud of our finished vehicles.

At last our vehicles are finished.  They took a lot of hard work, resilience and perseverance.

Before designing our own vehicles, we had to learn how an axle works.  We learnt about two different types - axles with fixed wheels and those with moving wheels.  We made both before choosing which to use in our designs.

Today we spent some time in the playground looking for signs of spring.  We found lots of shoots starting to appear and even saw some flowering plants too.

Today we have been designing our characters, writing the plot, and practising our stop-motion animation skills in groups. Within our groups, we each had an important job- controlling Noah, controlling the raindrops, controlling the animals, and camera-person!

We have been learning about division for the first time in class today.  Here we are using the counters to make equal groups.  It was great fun and it really helped us to see the link with multiplication.  

Today we are having to say goodbye to one of our class family!  We are very sad to see you go and hope you soon make friends in your new home down South.  I am sure Daddy will be so happy to have all his girls back together under one roof but we will definitely miss you!!  Good Luck and remember…

We finished our information texts all about wolves today.  We included a lot of great facts in them.  Here we are reading and evaluating each other’s work.

In P.E. this half term we have been developing our gymnastics skills.  We have learnt how to jump, roll, travel and balance.  We also practised putting these actions together to create a sequence.  In these pictures, you can see us applying our skills on the large apparatus.  It was trickier than…
