Looking after myself

This morning we met the reception children and found out how to look after our teeth. We found out how to brush all the different surfaces and got to take a new toothbrush home.

Two days of dancing!

On Tuesday we had a fantastic session with the Rock Kidz group. We danced along to songs about how good it is to be us. On Wednesday Nicola led our first Diddi dance session. We love moving to music.

Finding out about prayer

Today we had a look in the prayer “chatterbox.” The children know that I invite them to talk to God when we are praying. Inside the box were prayer books, a candle and prayer beads. The children handled each object carefully.

We love stories!

We love listening to stories in Nursery and acting them out. Everyone wanted to be Handa today and try to carry a basket of fruit on their head. We are holding on with just one hand and keeping an eye out for cheeky, hungry animals.

A sneak preview !!!

A little lamb visited nursery today!

As part of our growing topic this half term, we were lucky enough to have another animal visit us in nursery today!

Athletics team latest!

Well done Scotforth,  second in the Lancaster Schools Athletics tournament tonight. You are great at supporting each other and make a good team. A big thank you also to Mrs Boyle who has trained the Athletics club this year.

What else comes out of eggs ?

During a discussion about things that come out of eggs we had lots of interesting answers. Children remembered that spiders, chocolate, turtles and dinosaurs come out of eggs. We asked Mrs Dowson could we borrow her to use. Lola didn’t lay any eggs, but she did walk all over her raspberries!

Hearing stories

Nursery trip to Wildlife Oasis

We had a fantastic visit to the Wildlife Oasis in Milnthorpe today !
We had a look around the mini beasts area and looked closely at the stick insects, ants and cockroaches. Some of us felt brave enough to gently stroke the lizard and the python!
