What a day! This afternoon we spent the time thinking about our well-being. With so many activities on offer, it was hard to choose which ones would help us be happy and calm. Thank you to all the staff, governors and parents for organising and supervising the activities.

Today we celebrated National Poetry Day with a visit from the poet Tony Peek. He shared lots of his poems and stories at a whole school assembly this morning and then visited each class for a workshop during the day. He read from his books and then we wrote lots of different poems using…

Well done to the children who represented Scotforth St Paul’s this week. We made it to the semi-finals!

We all took part in our annual sports morning. The children were fantastic and competed brilliantly. We also saw some pre-schoolers racing and my all time favourite… the Mums/Dads and Grandparents race!

Year 6 had an exciting time at Jam (Jesus and Me!) Club today. Naomi and Jane came in and told us the story of Noah’s ark and God’s protection for Noah. Jonny, from NISCU, joined us on his prayer walk today. He was greeted like a celebrity and the children were delighted that he'd worn his onesie just for our school. He prayed for the school, our children and staff and the wider community. Thank you Jonny - it was great to see you!

We really enjoyed our local walk through the woods and onto the field. We looked at the nature around us, we talked, we laughed and we played lots of fun games. To make us feel even better ....the sun was shining ! Hooray
