
Lune Aqueduct Trip
This week, Year 5 went to Lune aqueduct. We learnt more about its history and also went pond dipping. We finished the trip with a McFlurry (a highlight for some of us!).
Treasure hunting in the sun
Year 6 enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the sun, working on two maths-based treasure hunts.
Ascension and Pentecost
On Thursday we learnt about Ascension and Pentecost by acting out the events with Mrs Ventress.

Nursery 'growing' topic.
Out topic this half term is 'growing'. We listened to the story of 'Jack and the beanstalk' then planted our own beans, cress seeds and flowers. We have balanced up a beanstalk into a castle in our outdoor area and looked closely at our beans slowly growing. We are drawing and cutting out leaves…

Lancaster Canal history
This morning, Katie, from Canal and River Trust, came into Year 5 to teach us about how and why Lancaster Canal was built. We helped to make a model version of Lancaster Canal. Jessica was the engineer who designed the canal. Bobby, Daniel P and Sophie were the navvies that dug out the canal. Meme…

South lakes zoo trip
Nursery went on a coach to South lakes zoo for the day. We saw lots of animals and enjoyed playing on the park.

Tag Rugby
We entered a team in the Lancaster schools' tag rugby tournament which was held at the Vale of Lune Rugby Club on Wednesday. We worked really hard in every game, just missing out on winning our matches, though we played very well: the scores were 5-4, 7-6, 5-4 and 5-3. Thank you to the parents…

Nursery stay and play teddy bear day!
We wrote some invitations inviting our grown ups to stay and play at the teddy bears' activity morning. We enjoyed exploring the activities with them and showing them around.
