We enjoyed making flowers out of clay. We manipulated the clay into different shapes, then chose our colours wisely.

Year 3- Ordering times

Summer
This week we have been talking about places we would like to visit and how we would get there. The children voted on their favourite place and wrote their name to show which they preferred. The top two places were soft play closely followed by swimming.

Y1 Capacity
We enjoyed exploring about capacity in Y1. We predicted how many cups it takes to fill different containers.

Why do we have day and night?
In science on Wednesday, we used globes and torches to investigate why we have day and night. We followed the United Kingdom as the earth rotated and spoke about what part of the day it might be in different positions.

Netball tournament fun
Two teams of Year 6 netballers went to Moorside School this afternoon to take part in the inter-schools netball tournament. We came second and fifth, but most importantly we showed great teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship.

Rocksteady visit us!
On Tuesday we had a visit from Rocksteady. We had a whole school assembly where we learnt more about the instruments and what they can sound like, and afterwards a workshop where we created our own KS2 band!
