Netball Tournament Success

Two teams went to Moorside School after school today to take part in the Lancaster cluster netball tournament. Both teams played well, but the Red team won all their first round matches and went forward to the final against Ellel St. John's, which they won 3-0.

Year 4 Sculptors

Year 4 have been sculptors making tiles out of air drying clay. First, they designed their tile in the style of the artists Karla Gerard or Hundertwasser. Dorrington Woods compared with a rainforest

Investigating Day and Night

Today with the help of a torch and a globe we investigated how day and night occur on planet Earth. We watched the sunlight gradually disappear from Britain as the Earth spun on its own axis. Our friends in Australia slept soundly during out day and then woke up as we were getting ready for bed.

Germination

Today we learnt a very technical term in Science - germination.  Here are our beans in bags with very wet paper towels.  Fingers crossed they will germinate successfully so we can see how roots and shoots appear in real life.

Crown Green Bowling

Year 6 Bakery!
