This week, we had a new member join our class called Cedric. We have been discussing why we need a skeleton and have been looking closely at the bones that make up Cedric’s skeleton and have been naming them. A adult human skeleton has 206 bones, we didn’t manage to name them all! Let’s see how…

The window in our classroom is decorated with food bags! We have drawn the water cycle on the bags and are looking at them daily to see the different processes of evaporation, condensation and precipitation happening. 

We really hope you all liked your Mother’s Day cards. We spent lots of time and care making them for such special people.

This week, we have been learning about friction. We used Newton meters to pull a bag across different surfaces to see which created more friction. More force was needed to move the bag across rough surfaces like the astroturf, concrete and carpet. 

Year 4 have been looking at the concepts of trust and betrayal linked to the Easter story. As an introduction to this topic we played some trust games in the playground.

Year 4 have been having fun making models of rivers with Miss Flynn in their Geography lesson.

Year 4 have been using their Art and DT skills to make Chinese dragons ready to celebrate 2022 The Year of the Tiger.

Over the last half term we have been practising different pop up techniques. Today we have made a moving Christmas picture.

Year 4 have been learning the French names for Christmas objects. These strips are ready to make into a paper chain to hang in the classroom.

Year 4 have been revising colour names in French. Do you like our pictures of un bonhomme de neige?

Year 4 have been learning about the festival of Hanukkah. We have drawn menorah candlesticks and have played the Dreidel game.

Year 4 went to Ripley School to complete some Science experiments.

We had a fantastic time!
