Thank you to Steve, who came in today, to speak to us about our bodies and keeping them healthy. We spoke about our body parts, healthy foods and how important sleep is too. Harold the giraffe needed our help with his feelings and we helped him. 

In Literacy today, we were looking at contractions from our list of Non Negotiables. We re-capped where we needed to put an apostrophe to replace missing letters. We played a game where we had to find our partner to match up the cards. One had the full words, the other had the contraction. You…

Year 6 have been busy reading over the summer holidays. Today we wrote reviews, which are now on display in the library for everyone to read. 

Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed dancing and dressing up as rock stars today. We came back with the important message of ‘Don’t give up!’ And we certainly didn’t. 

This afternoon we talked a lot about having the right mindset in order to tackle the challenges that lay ahead.  We learnt about several famous people who have had to show great resilience in order to succeed and then tested our own patience, perseverance and resilience with a football, basketball…

We have had a wonderful day discovering the different areas of the classroom. We have made some classroom rules for the year and loved catching up with our friends.

On Monday we finally found out the mystery destination. We went to Happy mount park for a day of transport themed fun. We went on a coach and rode on the little train. We had a woodland treasure hunt to help the teddies find their lost transport. We finished the day with a picnic and a ride on…
