Visit from University of Cumbria

Woodland maths

After a full morning of SATs, Year 6 ventured into the woods this afternoon for some fresh air, exercise and maths! We worked with a partner, following and solving a trail of maths problems around the woods.

Enjoying Sequences in Gym

Today we were joined by Mrs Muckalt to learn more about using effective sequences in gym. We used counter balances and counter tension balances as well as including jumps and different ways of travelling. We had great fun!

Commonwealth Games Y5

Today we went to the University of Cumbria to take part in a Commonwealth Games Event. The children had the opportunity to try a range of different sports such as boccia and archery. Thanks for all the donations for Derian House Children’s Hospice, we raised a fantastic £92.
