We were using vocab such as long, longer, tall, taller, longest and tallest today to compare lengths and heights of objects. We enjoyed exploring the classroom. 
 

We made different paths whilst counting in different multiples. We were counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We then jumped on the paths at different starting numbers. 

We enjoyed finding all the different phonic sounds around the playground. We read the sound and then had to come up with a word. We thought of lots of words!! 

 

Today in Year 5 we took advantage of the lovely weather to take our sketchbooks outside and look for patterns in nature. Using sketching pencils we drew detailed pictures of leaves, flowers, trees and stones.

Today, we have been learning outside in maths and have been angle detectives. First, we made different angles using our bodies, then we took photos of acute, obtuse and right angles in our environment. After that, we used sticks and twigs to make our own shapes and pictures and labelled each…

Today, Year 6 imaged themselves in the Australian outback, as we went to Dorrington Woods to do some “bark” painting. We experienced playing Wheelchair Basketball today. It gave us all an insight into the sport and how difficult it can be. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. 
 

We had a very competitive (and noisy!) time playing wheelchair basketball with John from Lancaster Bulldogs today. I think you can see how much we all (including Mrs Redmayne) enjoyed it.

Year 4 had a fantastic time playing wheelchair basketball. Lots of goals were scored with lots of fun and laughter. It was a great opportunity for the children. Thank you very much.
