This week, Year 5 went to Lune aqueduct. We learnt more about its history and also went pond dipping. We finished the trip with a McFlurry (a highlight for some of us!).

This morning, Katie, from Canal and River Trust, came into Year 5 to teach us about how and why Lancaster Canal was built. We helped to make a model version of Lancaster Canal. We had a fantastic Egyptian Day. Our costumes were amazing and we had lots of fun making Egyptian bread, playing games and becoming mummies!

On Friday, year three went to the Museum for a Romans workshop.  Whilst there we met a Roman called Marcus who told us all about life as a Roman soldier. 

Year 4 have been visited by an Egyptologist today. We have learnt lots of interesting facts and even had a go at mummification! 

Year 4 had a fantastic Egyptian day. We made Egyptian bread and played lots of games. We had fun wrapping each other up! 

Year 6 led our Remembrance Assembly today. They recited the poem "For the Fallen", which was written during WW1 by Robert Binyon, who was originally from Lancaster.
