Mayan clay work

To round off our work on the Mayans, Year 6 practised their clay skills, working with sculpting tools as well as learning how to create a coil pot. over two weeks, we made Mayan tiles, steles and pots.

Maya Artefacts Workshop

Today we had a historian from the museum service who taught us all about Maya artefacts.  We got to handle and discuss the objects and tried to work out what they were, what they were used for and what they taught us about the Maya people.

Dinosaur Footprints
