The Mayor’s Ceremony
Today, Y4 walked to the Ashton Hall in Lancaster to see the new Mayor, Abi Mills, being elected. It was a privilege to be invited and we were asked to sing during the ceremony too. We sang beautifully and were given lots of compliments by the people there.
Year 6 carol singing at Ashton Manor
Year 6 braved the weather this afternoon to visit Ashton Manor to sing carols to the residents. Both the children and the residents enjoyed themselves, and there was even a surprise visit from Father Christmas who brought us some delicious cookies and drinks as we chatted after our singing.

Carol singing at Chirnside House
This afternoon, Year 6 went to Chirnside House to help Rev Catherine with her Christmas Carol service for the residents. We sang carols and some of us also read the Bible readings. When we had finished, we had the chance to chat to the residents before walking back to school.
Practise makes perfect!
We have been practising hard (at school and at home) on our ukeleles and, so far, have learnt the chords of C and F. Next week we will go on to the chord of G and then we will be able to play loads of songs!! Have a listen to see how we're getting on.
