We have taken turns to dress up as our favourite character from the Nativity story.

We have heard lots of versions of the traditional Nativity. Our favourite part of the story is mean King Herod. We are all happy that Jesus escaped with Mary and Joseph to Egypt.

We are counting down the days to Christmas. We are making lots of Christmas gifts to bring home.

We also met a special guest.... Harold!!! 

We enjoyed a visit from the Life Education Centre who taught us about our bodies, healthy foods and healthy living. We enjoyed listening to stories about Harold and we helped him make some important choices.

Today we had a historian from the museum service who taught us all about Maya artefacts.  We got to handle and discuss the objects and tried to work out what they were, what they were used for and what they taught us about the Maya people. 

Remembering to use full stops to finish our sentences can be tough so today's challenge was to carefully read a passage about wolves and to show where the missing full stops should be using blue tack.  It took a few attempts to get this right as some of the sentences were tricky.

InDT, Year 4 have been practising making pop up mechanisms using paper and card. This is in preparation for making a moving Christmas picture. We’ll show you some photos when they are finished.

We joined in with Coach Joe Wickes!  He was raising money for Children in Need.  We collected money for them too.

We worked together to practise our balancing skills.  Can you tell how many body parts we were balancing on in these pictures?

As part of our topic of “Toys,” we are looking at different materials and their properties. We are using different vocabulary to describe the materials like hard, smooth, rough. 

We had fun programming Bee-Bot with instructional commands to make him go around our course. We predicted a route for him before we started.
