Y2 Full Stop Challenge

Remembering to use full stops to finish our sentences can be tough so today's challenge was to carefully read a passage about wolves and to show where the missing full stops should be using blue tack.  It took a few attempts to get this right as some of the sentences were tricky.

Pop up mechanisms- DT

InDT, Year 4 have been practising making pop up mechanisms using paper and card. This is in preparation for making a moving Christmas picture. We’ll show you some photos when they are finished.

Children in need

We joined in with Coach Joe Wickes!  He was raising money for Children in Need.  We collected money for them too.

Materials Experiment- Testing Properties

As part of our topic of “Toys,” we are looking at different materials and their properties. We are using different vocabulary to describe the materials like hard, smooth, rough.

We had fun programming Bee-Bot with instructional commands to make him go around our course. We predicted a route for him before we started.

Children In Need- Joe Wickes Wake and Shake

We enjoyed being active with Joe Wickes as part of our Children In Need celebrations.

Mrs Atkinson came to hand out our prizes for winning the Duck Race.

Our duck came first!!! We were very excited to watch the medal ceremony.

Children In Need Duck Race

We all had been given a duck to take part in the Children In Need Virtual Duck Race. We logged on and we all cheered on our duck “Quackman and Bobbin”. It was very fun and tense at times, especially when it got stuck in the rapids!

Y2 Duck Race for Children in Need

Here we are cheering on our class' ducks - Vincent Quack Gogh and The Bobbin' Coach.  Sadly neither of our ducks won but it was great fun watching them race!
