This morning, Lancaster Fire and Rescue Service came to visit us. We learned about what they do and ways to be safe at home.
Crown green bowling

Angles outdoors
We have been learning about angles outdoors today. We looked at angles around us and then made angles with our bodies. Using sticks, we made pictures and named the angles correctly using the words acute, obtuse and right angles.
Investigating the power of air in Y3

Researching about plants
We have begun researching facts to use in our non-fiction book. We went to the school library to find non-fiction books and found the information section. We have looked at the features and found exciting information.
We also used the iPads to research about plants.
Goldilocks Scratch animations
This afternoon, we were using the programme Scratch to code an animation about Goldilocks.
Joseph and his Coat of Many Colours
In RE we’ve been reading about Joseph. We had a go at creating our own coats of many colours. We had colours, patterns and lots of creative designs.
Maths in the sunshine
Following our first SATstests of the week, Year 6 enjoyed another afternoon outside in the sunshine. This time we were solving maths problems to collect clues to work out an anagram - very complicated but great fun too!
History detectives
This afternoon, we were looking at items from the past and trying to decide which ones helped us to learn facts about Florence Nightingale when she lived so long ago.
