Today, we were learning about the events of the Great Fire of London from when it started to when it ended. We made a big timeline in class and then made our own small versions.

We have been busy learning about ones, tens and hundreds. Today we made 100 using as many different ways as possible. We had to show that 100 was 10 groups of 10. Look how creative we were in the pictures below! Next we’re looking at 1,000… 

Today, we started our topic on ‘Solids, Liquids and Gases’. To begin with, we looked at lots of pictures and sorted them into groups. Then we were given a variety of solids and liquids and we investigated the properties of each, thinking of different words to describe them.

We visited the woods and Greg showed up how to build a fire. We collected twigs and sticks and then used cotton wool covered in Vaseline as our fuel. We used a fire starter tool to create a spark. Once the spark had ignited the fuel it was our job to keep the fire burning in a controlled and safe…

This morning we had a look in the doctor’s bag and decided what each instrument was for.

Today we learnt how to brush our teeth and why it is so important. We also found out we need to brush our teeth for 2 minutes twice a day.

Friday came all too quickly and after two activities and a final delicious lunch, we headed back to school.

The sun was shining for us again today as we tackled various activities before lunch, including crate stacking, zip wire, rifle shooting and the ever popular obstacle course. In the afternoon we all spent the afternoon on the lake, practising our canoeing and kayaking skills. 

Today we got to join in with Diddi Dance. We had so much fun learning some new moves and being able to express ourselves. 

This morning, we were learning about nouns. We labelled as many nouns as we could!
