Painting Self-portraits

We have been using paint to make our self portrait. We have been discussing the different hair colour, eye colour and skin colour that people have and that we are all unique. We mixed the paint to achieve the right colours.

Year 5 Poppy Art

Take a look at our beautiful poppies. We created them using watercolours, collage, paint and pattern. The poppies will be displayed in Marketgate Shopping in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes open and see if you can spot our art around town.

Year 4 Jubilee Art

Year 4 chose England as their Commonwealth country. We picked the North West artist L.S.Lowry and made matchstalk men, women, children, cats and dogs.

Year 4 Art

Year 4 have moved on with their Gaudi topic. The children have made animal collages using his Trencadis technique.

Finding patterns in nature

Today in Year 5 we took advantage of the lovely weather to take our sketchbooks outside and look for patterns in nature. Using sketching pencils we drew detailed pictures of leaves, flowers, trees and stones.

Today, Year 6 imaged themselves in the Australian outback, as we went to Dorrington Woods to do some “bark” painting. Wassily Kandinsky
